Steve, how can I remove candle wax from upholstery?
Place a piece of wax paper or brown paper bag over the candle wax. Heat with a hot iron just until the wax begins to soften. Wipe with a clean, white towel. Repeat the heating and wiping process until the wax has been removed.
If you would like us to do the work for you, please call for an appointment.
Steve, how can I try to remove a blood satin from my carpet?
The safest way to try to remove a blood stain from carpet or upholstery is by using a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution or a 3% ammonia solution. Use bottled or distilled water. Dab stain with a white cloth moistened with the 3% solution. Test on a small area in a non-prominent place.
1 cup of water to 1.4 teaspoons hydrogen peroxide or ammonia = 3%. Use one or the other, not both together.
Steve, what if I try this and the stain does not come out? Can it be removed professionally?
If the stain does not come out, please give me call. We have professional strength products and equipment available for stain removal.
